Tribute Hotel

Completed in 1924, this building originally housed the Armed Services YMCA. Stylistically classified as Italian Renaissance Revival, it includes identifiable elements such as: a symmetrical fa├žade; rusticated first story; ornamental terra cotta and stucco exterior; arched entry way and windows on the first floor; and overhanging eaves mimicking a cornice.

The building is being converted into a hotel, a program it has housed on the upper floors since its construction. Originally having 260 dormitory-style rooms with a communal bathroom on each floor, the renovation will provide 177 rooms with private bathrooms. The double-height space that used to be a gymnasium is being converted into a banquet hall on the first floor. A VRF system is being installed, with ten condensing units on the roof to serve indoor units located throughout the building.

Countywide Mechanical will be performing the design-build mechanical and plumbing scope of work for Davis-Reed Construction.
