Countywide Mechanical was contracted to renovate the 4th-floor ICU & 1st-floor ED at Sharp Coronado Hospital. The renovation included 8 ICU rooms, 11 ED rooms, 3 nurse stations, and 2 staff lounges. All construction renovations were phased to minimize impact on the hospital as it remains operational throughout the project. Additionally, during construction, Countywide received a change order for structural seismic upgrades to the hospital. The new Seismic upgrades and unforeseen conditions at the hospital required Countywide to work closely with engineers and other trades to overcome the field challenges resulting in plumbing piping & HVAC ductwork to be relocated to accommodate for new structural concrete all around the hospital.
