Fort Lewis Brigade Combat Team Barracks Complex

The complex consists of seven, 3-story barracks buildings housing 624 soldiers. There are two typical building types, Barracks Building Type A (26,430 sq ft) and Barracks Building Type B (34,940 sq ft) for a total building area over 227,000 sq ft.

The entire design-build team looked at every aspect of the LEED Silver project as an opportunity to improve the soldiers’ quality of life and to improve energy efficiency and water savings. All major subcontractors, including Countywide Mechanical, were involved throughout the design process. Countywide Mechanical collaborated with LST Engineering Consultants to develop the final design of the HVAC and plumbing systems which included energy modeling and commissioning.
