Federal Government
Boulevard Border Patrol Station

This complex consists of five buildings for a total building area of more than 70,000 sq ft: Main Station Building, Vehicle Service and Maintenance Building, Firing Range, EquestrianOffice, and Kennel.

The complex integrates the site utilities, HVAC systems, building and site electrical systems, and DDC controls to all buildings. Each building is connected to the base energy management system, fire protection, and information systems. The facilities incorporate energy efficient design and construction to the LEED Silver certification level.

Each building has a unique mechanical system. Countywide Mechanical collaborated with DS Engineering to develop designs appropriate for the function of each building while maintaining the overall sustainability and energy efficiency goals of the design-build team.

The Main Station Building has an outdoor Central Plant, equipped with an air cooled chiller, high-efficiency finned tube boiler and associated pumps, serves the chilled water and heating water systems for the building. Three variable air volume (VAV) air handling units with VAV reheat boxes distribute air throughout the 2-story facility.
