Santa Rosa Village Student Housing and Dining Commons Expansion

California State University, Channel Islands Santa Rosa Village is a design-build/design-assist project to add 600 beds for incoming freshman. The two 4-story buildings, totaling 120,000 SF, are a blend of classic Spanish Mission-style architecture to match the campus aesthetic. The rooms are designed into ‘pods,’ with living rooms and communal kitchens in the center of each to foster community.

The expansion to the dining commons is 20,000 SF.

The housing was complete Summer 2016, for move-in of incoming freshman starting in Fall Semester of 2016. With a total cost of $57 million, the new housing and dining commons expansion is designed to meet LEED Gold and CALGreen Tier 2 standards.
