Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital Boiler Replacement

The Design-Build project to repair the two 150 ton existing boilers serving the Robert E. Bush Naval Hospital on MCAGCC Twentynine Palms is the third design-build boiler project Countywide Mechanical has done for the Navy within the last few years.

The project is unique in that only the burners were repaired, not the replacement of the entire boiler. After award, a change order to replace the fire tubes in each of the boilers, post-inspection, was submitted. Upgrades were also done to the associated equipment and systems in the mechanical room. The controls systems was replaced. During the construction the hospital maintained operation and temporary systems were used in order to do so.
