Our Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) Department utilizes Building Information Modeling (BIM) design and fabrication software that allows us to model in 2D and 3D formats. These models are integrated with other trades for building coordination and clash detection. Having worked as both BIM Lead and a team member, the coordination of the virtual models is a necessary task to VDC, helping us identify possible prefabrication opportunities, coordinate the prefab requirements, create a bill of material, and reduce material waste. Models are generated using manufacturer-specific components to ensure construction will proceed with minimal unforeseen issues, taking the guesswork out of construction and streamlining installations for one successful project after another.
